Opening Day Goes Off With Few Issues

April 2nd marked the beginning of the 2007 FJBL season and there were very few hitches and several good games marking the docket.

"We had some minor MP issues, but the teams and their owners appear ready for a great season. We're all excited to get this thing going," Commissioner Myers told noone in particular and, yet, everyone who cared.

The games were highlighted by the two-time defending champion Reds 9th inning rally to nip the Cubs 4-3 to the delight of the crowd at Great American and Houston's 5-0 victory over the Diamondbacks, the result of a 2-hit outing by the venerable Steve Trachsel.

FJBL Spring Training Begins - New Web Page Added

Welcome to the new FJBL home page. This blog features the same links as our former site, but offers increased security and a fresh, new look. (As an added bonus, the commissioner knows how to log in and post stories on this site!)

Spring Training has sprung in the FJBL with four games under our belts. We have a great group of owners - nearly all of whom have now been on board for more than a year and several who've been with us for many years. 2007 promises to be one of the most competitive years ever and, we hope, one of the most enjoyable seasons ever.

The message board is humming and several owners have taken league officer roles to increase involvement and enjoyment in the league.

Boys it's baseball season! Let's have a great year.
